Practical Legal Guidance When Change Feels Overwhelming

25 years of protecting rights in employment, education, and civil matters across Virginia

Change can be hard. When legal challenges loom, you need practical, reasonable guidance to answer these questions: Do I have rights? What are my legal pathways? Does it makes sense to go down those pathways?

When You Work With Me, You Get Me

25 years of practice in Virginia. Based out of Roanoke, my practice has taken me all over the state and beyond.

I was raised in Newport, Rhode Island and first came to Virginia to attend James Madison University. After graduation I decided to explore the southwest where I lived for several years and obtained my JD from University of Arizona, James E. Rogers College of Law. After a brief stint in San Francisco to experience the west coast, I returned to the east coast where I began my law career in Virginia as a pro se law clerk for the United States District Court for the Western District of Virginia.

I entered private practice in 2002, and since then have represented individuals and small businesses in tough situations—employment discrimination, civil rights violations, consumer protection violations, breach of contract, fraud, wrongful termination, defamation, and other related tort actions. I have worked with clients throughout the state and in surrounding states, with local counsel.
